GRUNDY CENTER – Earlier this month, family and friends of the GCHS Class of 2019 gathered in the auditorium for the annual Awards Night Ceremony, where this year’s seniors were honored for their academic, athletic and extracurricular achievements.
Beth Bockes, Grundy Center’s National Honor Society advisor, commended the students for all their hard work, and reminded them to always be proud of the community they grew up in, and the family, school and teachers that taught them to be the people they are today.
Bockes awarded her NHS students with Gold Cords. The National Honor Society members are selected by the faculty based on scholarship, service, character, and leadership skills. Gold Cords worn by graduating seniors with their cap and gown distinguish membership in the National Honor Society.
