Julie Prettyman

Julie Ann DeVries Prettyman passed away June 25, 2015, suddenly and unexpected leaving friends and family wondering why tragic things happen to good people.
Julie graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1975. She has two boys Jack and Sam and was living in Grass Valley, CA.
Julie joined the imaging team at Eden 11 years ago. She began her training and working as a radiologic techologist at Highland Hospital and also worked at UCSF before joining the team at Eden.

Irene Walterman

Irene Walterman, 96, of Dike died August 14, 2015, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls. Services were August 19 at NewAldaya Lifescapes Chapel in Cedar Falls with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Dike. Visitation was Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls and one hour prior to services at NewAldaya. Memorials may be directed to the family. Adrienne Jean Choate

Adrienne Jean Choate, 38, of Wellsburg passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 2, 2015, in Illinois. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 22 at 10 a.m. at the Steamboat Rock Cemetery. Inurnment will follow the service at the cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the family. James W. Cech

James William Cech of Winter Park, FL., passed away peacefully in his sleep on Aug. 3, 2015, at Sandalwood Nursing Center in Daytona Beach, FL.  He was 90 years old. There will be a memorial service at a later date in Grundy Center.
Jim was born on Sept. 27, 1924, to James and Anna Cech in Clutier.  He graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1942 and served in the United States Army. After returning home from Korea, Jim met Shirley Olson and they married in 1949. Together they raised a son and two daughters.

Donna Mae Wood

Donna M. Wood, 85, of Reinbeck died August 1, 2015, at the Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.  Funeral services were held at August 8 at First Presbyterian Church in Reinbeck with Rev. Mike Campbell officiating.  Burial followed at the Reinbeck City Cemetery.  A visitation was held August 7 at French-Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck.  Online condolences may be made to the Wood family at: www.abelsfuneralhomes.com.
